Its main ingredient Magnesium Chloride works by attracting moisture from the air and its surroundings thus keeping the road surface damp longer thus increasing the time between applications.

Directions For Use:
Pellet Form: Use 1.5 to 2 lbs per square yard (1.5 lbs to 2 lbs per 9 square feet). Ordinary lime drill spreaders, tailgate spreaders, or spinner disc spreaders are recommended.
Liquid Form: Dilute 3 lbs. per gallon of water needed. Apply at a rate of 0.5 gallons per square yard (or approximately 0.5 gallons per 9 square feet). Tanker trucks with spray bars can are recommended.
